We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Heathrow IRC, an Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton. Heathrow IRC combines Colnbrook and Harmondsworth removal centres under one management structure, making it the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents.
Hours:
Monday - Sunday - 9am - 5pm based on 37.5 hours per week. The mental health team consists of 9 in the team, working closely with the substance misuse and physiology team, and you will be based in the healthcare department.
Salary:
This position is full-time, and you'll receive an annual salary between £42,525 - £50,400 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing:
As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide healthcare to patients, promoting health and well-being within the prisoner population
* Be an experienced Mental Health Practitioner, RMN, Social Worker (Mental Health), or Recovery practitioner with experience in the Primary care mental health field
* Be responsible for assessment and caseload management of those referred into Mental health services
* Work as part of a primary and secondary care integrated model
* Work under your own direction while also contributing to group MDT and triage
* Support your team to carry out comprehensive assessments, confidently communicating treatment options and initiating supportive care plans, working with individuals on a 1-2-1 basis alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team
* Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication, and competence
What we'll look for in you:
* Social Worker - HCPC / NMC Registered
* Experience of working within mental health settings, developing knowledge and understanding of this patient group
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary environment
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
