Salary: £23,015 (£38,359 FTE) per annum plus £663 per annum weekend allowance and benefits Hours: Part time, 21 hours per week with flexible working plus 9 half day working at weekends We are currently seeking a Collections Interpretation Manager, to join our Collections team at St Paul’s Cathedral. The Collections Interpretation Manager is a new role within the Collections Department that manages the use and care of the cathedral collections and information about the cathedral’s history (Library, archives and objects) which will unlock the potential of the cathedral’s history and collections. We are looking for a bright and creative individual who will be responsible for overseeing the development of collections-based interpretation as well as working with colleagues from across the cathedral to ensure programming for a range of audiences. They will contribute to various projects and layers of interpretation within the building, including its digital platforms; producing displays, interpretive installations, activities and events. They will be expected to manage a range of projects and priorities using excellent organisational skills, with the purpose of engaging and inspiring the public by our historical treasure trove of over 1400 years of stories to tell. We are looking for a creative individual with sound communication and project management skills. This role requires you to have experience leading historic collections or interpretation/engagement activity in a heritage environment and a good knowledge of British history (ideally including architectural, social, political or ecclesiastical history). We each take responsibility for our part in the Cathedral’s work, looking after St Paul’s for the next generation.
