We are thrilled to announce a partnership with a prominent property client who has a strong presence in the Edinburgh market. As part of their ongoing expansion into Edinburgh's southside, they are looking to add an experienced Mortgage and Protection Advisor to their team to support their continued growth.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing mortgage and protection solutions, as well as offering holistic financial planning, to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
About You:
You'll already be an experienced Mortgage and Protection Advisor (CeMAP qualified or equivalent) with a deep understanding of regulatory and compliance procedures. In addition to your technical expertise, we are seeking a proactive individual with a strong approach to business development and lead generation. Building and maintaining relationships, creating growth opportunities, and expanding our client base will be key aspects of this role. A customer-focused mindset, combined with excellent collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and planning skills, is essential. You will be expected to consistently exceed targets and deliver exceptional service at every opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering Exceptional Service
* Ensure adherence to agreed mortgage and protection sales processes with the aim of delivering an outstanding service experience.
* Consistently meet and exceed personal targets while actively contributing to team objectives.
* Proactively promote and develop the business by prospecting and contacting potential clients, in line with the firm's business plan, while seeking out new business opportunities.
* Conduct thorough product and market research to provide suitable recommendations to clients and create a great client experience.
* Maintain regular client contact, following up on financial sales opportunities.
* Actively address and resolve any client concerns to ensure an exceptional service experience.
* Be fully trained in CRM sales database, ensuring accurate and detailed customer information is maintained.
* Generate positive customer reviews (e.g., Google Reviews).
* Maintain competence levels as required by the firm (CAS).
* Take a proactive approach to personal development by staying updated with changing legislation and seeking opportunities to enhance skills for the role.
Compliance & Administration
* Understand and comply with regulatory requirements, ensuring all necessary documentation is received and processed accurately.
* Conduct business with integrity, due skill, care, and diligence, taking responsibility for the quality of advice provided.
* Respond promptly to compliance feedback and implement necessary actions.
* Treat all customers fairly, providing clear and suitable advice. Pay particular attention to vulnerable customers, ensuring understanding of the information provided.
* Stay aware of Anti-Money Laundering regulations and financial crime issues, particularly in relation to high-risk countries or those linked to terrorism.
* Ensure the accuracy of data entered into CRM.
Key Requirements
Essential:
* CeMAP Qualified or equivalent.
* Experience in whole-of-market mortgage and protection advisory.
* Detailed knowledge of compliance procedures, including record-keeping requirements.
* Proven ability to deliver high standards of customer service.
* Strong track record in meeting financial targets and KPIs.
* Proficient in IT systems, including MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the Edinburgh Southside housing market.
* Full UK Driving License.
* Previous experience with Customer Record Management (CRM) or a comparable database.
Salary:
* Looking to pay a salary between 35,000 - 40,000
* Due to business demands there is an on track earning potential of between 65,000 plus
Hours
* Hours are on a 37.5 hour per week basis Monday through Friday
