Management Accountant - 12 month FTC - £50,000 to £55,000 per year - Basingstoke, Hampshire - (5 days in the office)
FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a leading global business in Basingstoke, Hampshire on the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will be a skilled Management Accountant who will be part of a busy Accounts team, supporting the financial operations of the company and working closely with the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the preparation of period end management accounting tasks, including posting accruals & prepayments and producing variance analysis.
2. Responsible for timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring supporting documentation is presented each period.
3. Daily bank reconciliations.
4. Cashflow monitoring and forecasting, identifying short to medium term cash requirements and liaising with group treasury regarding cash requirements.
5. Preparation and monitoring of overhead budgets & forecasts in liaison with department heads.
6. Ownership of Fixed Asset Register.
7. Credit Control support and weekly Aged Debtors reporting.
8. Monitoring of exchange rates and impact on foreign currency payments and receipts.
9. Monthly staff payroll - collation, submission and review, with support from an external payroll provider and HR and process monthly payroll journals to ERP system.
10. Assisting the year end audit process.
11. Maintaining process documentation, whilst continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.
12. Preparation & submission of monthly VAT Returns.
13. Review and approval of purchase invoices.
14. Review of bi-monthly payment runs and processing of payments.
15. Monitoring of stock and liaison with Operations team regarding stocktakes.
16. Review and approval of staff expenses.
Required Skills:
1. ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
2. Accurate, highly organised, hands-on individual who is able to work with limited supervision.
3. Experience in management reporting processes.
4. Experience of processing accounting monthly adjustments.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong IT skills, in particular the use of Excel.
7. Experience with using SAP desirable but not essential.
8. Excellent attention to detail.
