Your main responsibility will be to support our kitchen and food & beverage teams with ensuring all kitchen areas are clean and tidy, and all crockery and cutlery is prepared for the food & beverage team in order to ensure smooth running of service and provide a positive dining experience to our guests.
Some of the responsibilities include:
* Accept, sign for and put away deliveries within the parameters of food safety policy including support with and communication of deliveries between inter-departments (non-food/ kitchen deliveries).
* Conduct HACCP Checks, Quality control and reporting of food deliveries.
* Perform stock rotation and organisation of walk-in fridge, freezer, store room, meat, fish & chemical stores.
* Ensure cleanliness of fridges, freezer, stores including HACCP cleaning schedule & daily checks i.e. date labelling/ within date etc.
* Maintain cleanliness, organisation and clearance of receiving area and bin area following resorts and waste companies recycling policies.
* Communicate any discrepancies and health and safety issues to senior chefs.
* Maintain stock levels and communicate any low or out of stock items.
* Conduct daily fridge temperature checks.
