Description
The successful candidate will have experience of managing and supervising a busy department in a multi-site catering establishment. You will have the ability to embrace innovation and address problems in a practical manner and possess exceptional communication skills. You will also have the professionalism, motivation, and ability to drive standards within the department and wider centre.

Key Responsibilities
* Have practical working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures across the department.
* Create a friendly award-winning team mentality.
* Maintain a professional standard with all stakeholders.
* Ensure areas are set to SOPs and correctly staffed.
* Assist the Retail Manager with all aspects of compliance and health and safety procedures in all operational areas.
* Responsible for the implementation and delivery of SOPs and presentation for the catering operation.
* Strict stock control in guidance with operational procedures.
* Ensure a culture of excellent customer service.
* Take the lead and act as the point of contact for staff and SCL department queries on the day, managing the planning and delivery of the catering operation.
* Ensure that all food is served and presented in accordance with SOPs.
Team Responsibilities
* Adhere to rules and best practices of hygiene and health and safety to ensure full compliance with all relevant current legislation.

* Work with the Retail Manager to build a friendly, hardworking culture of teamwork with chefs and FOH personnel, ensuring that all catering areas run smoothly and in harmony.
* Promote excellent customer service.
* Maintain uniform standards.
* Ensure the catering areas are set and point of sale products are optimally displayed to drive sales to agreed standards.
Performance Responsibilities
Performance will be monitored against the following:
* Ownership and completion of agreed business priorities in a timely manner.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* At least one year of management experience in a similar retail catering environment.
* Excellent customer service and client awareness.
* A strong leader who can attract and retain an empowered team to deliver a great customer experience.
* The highest standard of personal presentation.
* An individual who enjoys hard work and challenges, with the ability to cope under pressure in a busy and fast-paced environment.
* A self-starter who can maximize the right sales opportunities with creativity and flair, and the ability to organize and control events to deliver profit growth.
* Full clean UK driving licence.
* Knowledge of and qualifications relating to food handling, COSHH, and HACCP are desirable.
* Flexible approach to working hours.
* Good communication skills.
