We have an excellent opportunity for a Science Teacher who is looking for a short-term role in a Secondary school in the Nelson area on a full-time basis. The role is set to commence in April 2025, with shortlisting currently underway.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Planning and preparing lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Assessing student progress through regular marking, feedback, and tests
* Supporting students in developing practical and theoretical scientific skills
* Managing classroom behaviour to ensure a positive learning environment
* Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
* Preparing students for exams and helping with revision techniques
* Participating in departmental meetings to review and improve teaching strategies
* Organising and leading extracurricular activities such as science clubs or trips
* Communicating with parents regarding student progress and concerns
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
* Relevant qualifications
* Proven experience of teaching Science up to KS4
* Strong knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics
* Two education or school-based references
