Your new role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Cleaning Working Team Leader to join our Edinburgh schools account in Braidburn school, 107 Oxgangs Road North, Edinburgh EH14 1ED.
This role is on-site based.
Salary: £12.60 per hour
15 hours per week (Shift pattern: Monday-Thursday 16:00-20:00, Friday 13:00-17:00. Term time only)
We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.
You will be responsible for:
* Supervising cleaners within your team, carrying out basic people management activity.
* Carrying out bi-weekly cleaning audits for internal improvements.
* Controlling stock levels and ordering consumables to ensure service delivery through the correct channels.
* Operating machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided.
* Training cleaners in Amey way modules including 6-monthly refreshers.
* Resolving any concerns or issues raised by team members or escalating to your people manager if you are not able to.
* Carrying out any reasonable requests that are directed by your line manager.
* Ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
* Supporting both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
We want to hear from you if you have:
* Supervisor/team leader cleaning experience, preferably within a facilities maintenance background.
* Strong organization, responsibility, efficiency, and excellent attention to detail.
* Strong customer service skills, being friendly, approachable with a positive work ethic.
* A willingness to learn and support others.
