What you’ll do:
As Software Configuration Engineer, you will be part of an EMEA-based team to deliver high-level technical support on various client sites across EMEA. You will mainly work on Energy Power Management System (EPMS), Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM), and SCADA-related Eaton software solutions for customer projects. You will bring domain expertise to contribute to the following areas of activity of Software-based projects:
* Coordinate SW site deployment and testing (with onsite works if needed) of Eaton solutions in different electrical infrastructures (like data centers, C&I, etc).
* Design technical scope of budgetary and binding proposals.
* Resolve the Level 3 escalated technical support requests related to your area of expertise.
* Define SW deployment work methods with criteria for local teams and 3rd parties.
* Support sales & project management teams with technical scope definition and highlight risks with solutions.
* Produce and validate engineering documentation in cooperation with various Eaton technical teams.
* Perform internal and external technical presentations and training, and participate in process and tool standardization initiatives.
* Coordinate with projects & implementation team on snags/escalation resolution. Engage in high-level resource demand planning to support priority projects.
Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution in Power Management, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Automation subjects.
* 6-8+ years of experience with power system automation software, Energy Power Management System, and Data Center Infrastructure Management.
* 3-4+ years of relevant engineering experience with power management systems specifically within a Data Center environment.
Skills:
* Familiarity with power distribution systems including MV/LV switchgear, Transformer, UPS, and EPMS/DCIM systems is a plus.
* Fluent in English. Intercultural awareness and previous experience influencing people in complex organizations are a plus.
* No major restrictions on travel in the EMEA region and/or to the USA. Driving License required.
* Flexibility with traveling within home country and across EMEA.
* Software and hardware knowledge of PLC, HMI, Network Infrastructure, IED programming, and logic control concepts is a plus.
* Strong collaboration and solid communication skills in English; other European languages are a plus.
* Self-driven and solution-oriented behavior when solving high-complexity technical problems.
* A strong safety mindset and the fortitude to STOP unsafe practices even when that could impact other important deliverables.
* Intercultural awareness, ability to prioritize, and efficiently deal with multiple tight deadlines.
* Stakeholder management; strong collaboration skills.
