The post holder will be responsible for organizing and delivering theatre care in the peri-operative setting.
1. To act as a scrub team leader, organising and overseeing smooth running lists
2. Be responsible for an identified group of staff, developing, training, monitoring, and documenting the development of their clinical skills
3. To establish, lead and maintain high standard of pre/peri and postoperative care
4. To contribute positively towards the delivery of a cost-effective service, adjusting staffing levels to meet demand and assisting the clinical co-ordinators to keep within agreed resources.
The service will be working six days per week and to meet the needs of the Trust’s services, you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work.
You will be required to participate in CMH on call rota.

Eucation and Qualification
Essential criteria
5. Registered Nurse or registered ODP
6. Teaching and Supervision qualification
Desirable criteria
7. L6 or above academic level
8. Management training
Knowledge and Experience

9. Extensive experience in theatre scrub and team lead in orthopaedic theatre
10. Evidence of continuous Professional Development
11. Teaching and assessment experience

12. Knowledge of current issues in operating theatre
13. Knowledge of people management

14. Ability to organise day to day theatre activities
