Session Requirements:
The service is open 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm.
Session times: 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm, and 4pm-8pm.
Minimum of 4 sessions per week required.
Your Role:
The Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist will provide high quality, safe and effective Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy. The role will involve the following:
1. To provide high-quality Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or low-level brief interventions which demonstrates excellent clinical outcomes.
2. To deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence-based intervention.
3. To provide different models of service delivery including face-to-face, telephone or video consultations, depending on client preference.
4. To adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and work collaboratively with the Clinical Leads and wider therapy team.
5. To adhere to sessional limits depending on the client’s monetary allowance as determined by their Private Medical Insurance.
6. To provide signposting or onwards referral as and when required.
7. To provide ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching as and when required.
8. To provide one-off assessments and referral recommendations, when required.
9. To work at a client level to provide group psychoeducation, raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing.
10. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Bupa’s service policies and procedures.
11. To attend regular clinical supervision, both individually and group based, to support clinical practice.
12. To work with the operational and clinical team to identify ways to improve client and employee experiences.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL
1. Holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT/High Intensity) which is BABCP accredited.
2. Full Accreditation with British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
3. At least 2 years’ experience providing high intensity CBT interventions.
DESIRABLE
1. Training and accreditation in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological treatment, such as EMDR.
2. Corporate experience and business understanding.
3. Excellent leadership and management skills.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. General adult mental health specialism experience.
2. IT Skills including proficient on Microsoft Systems as well as electronic medical record systems.
3. Ability to evaluate, plan and prioritise workload within demanding time scales.
4. Proven experience of customer service and client liaison.
5. Excellent application of clinical knowledge.
6. Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
7. Strong professional and personal drive.
8. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and self-sufficient.
9. Ability to respond rapidly and decisively.
10. Excellent team player.
11. Strong problem-solving capability.
12. Experience of managing own caseload, working towards individual targets and outcomes.
13. Maintaining time boundaries and efficient diary management working towards utilisation targets.
14. Be able to demonstrate high standards in written and oral communication.
15. Diverse and varied clinical experience to draw upon.
