The facilities team is looking for a member of staff to join their team to support the cleanliness and patient feeding services in the hospital and lead a team of cleaning and catering staff.
Contract Details:
This is a contracted role working on a two-week rota basis, 1:00pm - 8:30pm.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with all Trust Policies.
2. Conduct appraisals of all staff.
3. Assist in the recruitment and selection of staff within the Department.
4. Arrange relief staff/bank to cover absence, sickness, and annual leave.
5. Induct new members of staff to ensure training is complete.
6. Participate in the training of staff.
7. Undertake an agreed program of quality control audits for the area of responsibility.
8. Prioritize work allocation and staffing to carry out vacate cleans and re-open to an agreed timetable to maintain the availability of beds.
9. Plan, prepare, and supervise working rotas efficiently, including the allocation of overtime.
10. Maintain keys/swipe cards to rooms in a secure fashion.
11. Record and maintain the annual leave entitlements of staff, ensuring timely leave is taken.
12. Conduct return to work interviews and complete appropriate forms.
13. Effectively communicate, influence, and negotiate with staff members, conducting sensitive conversations where barriers to understanding may exist.
14. Ensure that food temperatures are recorded and accurately reported.
