The role This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced Project Manager to lead the newly awarded £2M project, ‘DIY Greening Prescription for Climate Adaptation in Urban Streets (GP4Streets).’ The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering and coordinating project activities, while also supporting the development of new research initiatives to drive the growth of the Global Centre for Clean Air Research (GCARE) at the University of Surrey. GP4Streets is an NERC-funded research grant. It is led by the University of Surrey’s GCARE in collaboration with the Universities of Bath, Sheffield, UWE Bristol, and Imperial College London. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery and effective management of the GP4Streets project. You should bring a proactive mindset and a solid project management background. Working closely with project co-leads, funders, and stakeholders, you will address issues with informed, timely solutions and process information accurately, often within tight deadlines. If you are an engaging team player with excellent organisational, management, writing and communication skills, and a passion for providing effective support to all stakeholders, we would love to hear from you. The successful candidate will have demonstrated project management experience, and ideally have a Professional project management qualification e.g. PRINCE2, be educated to Bachelor, Master or PhD degree level or have equivalent experience suitable to the role. This is a full-time position, initially available from 04 January 2025 for upto 30 months based at the University of Surrey, with a possibility of extension.
