We have an excellent opportunity for a female support worker to work alongside our client in Clydach, Swansea.
Our client is a young lady in her teens who has complex needs, including cerebral palsy, mobility assistance, mickey care, and medication.
Due to the client's support needs, the successful candidate will need to be female, have a full UK driving licence, have some experience working with complex needs/cerebral palsy, and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supportive relationship.
Pay: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour
Hours: 40 per week over five days (06:45 - 16:30 or 15:00 - 22:15, requires care seven days a week so we can be flexible on what days)
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting and engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists.
* Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for working with people and providing care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Reliability, commitment, and flexibility.
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
* Ability to deal with challenging behaviours.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
