Workshop Assistant Location: Near St.Albans Hourly rate: £13ph Hours: 39.5 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (30-minute lunch) Join our committed team in the aerospace industry as a Workshop Assistant, where you will contribute to the production of high-precision components for major aerospace clients. This role involves handling small to medium batch production with medium to high complexity, focusing on the dressing, deburring, and fettling of components. Workshop Assistant Responsibilities Deburr, dress, and fettle components after machining operations using hand tools, shot blasting machines, and drilling equipment. Degrease laminations in preparation for coating or assembly using enclosed solvent degreasing machines. Uphold workplace cleanliness and organization by maintaining 5S standards on the shop floor. Workshop Assistant Experience & Skills Required Prior experience in the aerospace sector or a similar high-precision manufacturing environment - desirable Strong communication skills with proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Capable of following detailed instructions and open to receiving guidance as necessary.
