Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust Pharmacy Department is currently recruiting a self-motivated individual to join our Intermediate Dispensing Pharmacy Assistant cohort. This full time position offers a unique training opportunity within the Dispensary at King's Mill Hospital.
This role involves working in an acute hospital setting, liaising with clinicians, and working within multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Training & Development: Undertake a one-year placement incorporating day release for virtual college attendance and on-the-job learning to gain a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Apprenticeship.
• Dispensing: Gain experience in aspects of pharmacy services, including dispensing for wards and outpatients.
• Patient Interaction: Provide advice to patients on the actions and uses of medicines.
• Collaboration:Work closely with clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Additional Information:
• This post is a 15-month fixed term contract to enable college enrolment and completion of the End Point Assessment.
• You will be required to undertake a minimum of 10 hours of work at home per month to complete the course requirements.
• 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Grade D/3 or above in Maths and English Language are required.
