Summary
Working along side the school administration team, helping to book in visitors, parents and organise events, answering the phones. There will be day to day tasks e.g. meal booking, liaising wit the caters, organising food deliveries and assisting with our social media.

£14,526.20 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* Manage new pupil paperwork and maintain school management information systems
* Provide administrative and/or secretarial support, including travel arrangements, use of school premises, and collating reports to meet the school’s administrative requirements
* Assist with school trips and events, liaising with appropriate service users within agreed policies and procedures
* Produce a range of detailed documents to meet the needs of the school team
* Set up and operate basic filing and retrieval systems to support efficient record management and ensure compliance with data protection requirements
* Maintain a wide range of manual and computerised records/management information systems to support efficient school management
* Handle a wide range of queries and ensure they are dealt with efficiently and within agreed standards
* Undertake reception duties, including answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries and signing in visitors
* Participate in team development activities and assist less experienced colleagues when appropriate to support team performance and development objectives
* Provide secretarial support to the Leadership Team
* Oversee the production and distribution of the school newsletter
* Update the school website, ClassDojo, and other relevant platforms
* Support the administration of students' annual reviews
* Undertake a range of administrative duties to support the school, under the direction of the Operations Manager and Headteacher
* Liaise with external agencies on behalf of the school leadership team, including making outgoing telephone calls as required
Support general school reception duties, including:
* Answering phone calls and handling reception tasks
* Managing post duties, filing, photocopying, and other administrative tasks
* Greeting and welcoming visitors, signing them in and out
* Receiving, opening, and distributing incoming mail and dispatching outgoing mail
* Replying to emails and handling staff and external enquiries
* Plan, coordinate, and implement the school diary and meeting schedules
* Prepare and submit the Pupil Census and other statutory returns
* Maintain record-keeping systems, ensuring compliance with data protection/GDPR requirements
* Participate in team development activities and assist colleagues when appropriate
* Manage stock levels and office supplies to ensure the smooth operation of the school
* Arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies to maintain a safe working environment

Course contents
* Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
* Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
* Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
