Hours: 40 hours per week, Core hours 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm
Who We Want:
We want an individual who strives for the best, who can work in a small team, but also unaided across all our business functions. We need you to be able to work in close conjunction with production undertaking planned, preventative and reactive maintenance. We would encourage you to use your Engineering skills and experience to develop solutions and support continuous improvement activities to optimise our processing performance. Part of the role will be supporting the Engineering Manager, and the projects team, with new equipment installation. This will involve an element of industrial wiring.
The Requirements:
* 60/40 mechanical/electrical bias preferred.
* Engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship with HNC, ONC or equivalent.
* 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations.
* Two shift system earlies and lates. Occasional weekends at overtime rates.
* Practical electrical and mechanical experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Be able to rapidly diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical control and instrumentation faults.
* Experience in working in a safe working environment. Permit to work, IOSH.
* Liaising with suppliers and third-party resources to carry our preventative and reactive maintenance.
* The Skills You’ll Need
You should have some experience in the majority of the following:
* Pumps (vacuum, diaphragm, centrifugal, other technologies)
* Motors and invertors
* Steam and condensate systems
* Pipework water, steam, air, pressured, chemical
* Compressed air and pneumatics
* Demineralization and reverse osmosis
* Ph. control, batch controllers, load cells
* Pressure systems and appreciation of the pressure systems regulations
* Food grade areas and appreciation of HACCP systems.
* Computer literate Outlook, Excel, Word etc
