Are you already a pharmacist but looking to commence a career in hospital pharmacy?
We have vacancies on our well-established rotational pharmacist foundation training programme. You will be supported as you begin your career journey in hospital pharmacy.
The job role is suitable for newly qualified pharmacists who would either start at a Band 6 and, after a period of 12-18 months, could progress to a Band 7 or, depending on experience, the pharmacist may start at a Band 7, but hospital pharmacy experience would be a requirement.
Main duties of the job
You will gain a broad wealth of experience in a variety of clinical settings including: emergency admissions; general medicines; surgery and frailty; as well as dispensary.
You will be supported by advanced specialist pharmacists in each rotation as well as benefiting from foundation level training. Our rotational pharmacists are also studying for diploma qualifications in clinical pharmacy practice.
We provide a clinical and dispensary service 6 days per week and an on-call service.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Training for GPhC registration 2022 or already GPhC registered
* MPharm or equivalent.
* Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
* Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent.
Experience
* Experience of Hospital pharmacy work.
Knowledge
* Broad clinical/pharmaceutical knowledge.
* Current issues within pharmacy & the NHS.
* Highly developed communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to communicate complex information effectively.
