Position: Maritime Project Manager Location: Redhill, Surrey Reporting to: Programme Director Department: Bids, Project Management and Assurance What the Role is About: We are looking for a Maritime Project Manager to oversee the implementation of maritime projects within the defense sector. The role involves managing multiple installation projects, working with engineering teams, and ensuring successful project delivery. The role also involves the dDelivery of UK MOD maritime implementation projects across the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary and other UK MOD/UK Govt vessels Key Responsibilities - Overall management of several, concurrent or sequential maritime installation projects. - Production of Equipment Guidance Packages (EGP), Installations Guidance Packages (IGP), and Modification Leaflets based on engineering designs, surveys and stakeholder input. - Overall management of the Change Impact Assessment Process (CIAP) process, working with the Engineering and Assurance Teams alongside the Customer(s). - Reporting of projects internally within the Global Project Team and governance construct. - Input into customer governance meetings including schedule, progress, risks and opportunities alongside management of dependencies. - Management and deconfliction of priorities and ensuring lead times of equipment procurement, and configuration are managed. - Working with suppliers/subcontractors to ensure equipment and services are delivered in accordance with the implementation plan. Assisting in improving our Project Management and through-life support function. - Support other Project Managers in the project implementation and ensure that projects progress smoothly through the company and according to agreed timescales. - To represent the Company at key customer projects and commercial meetings. - To undertake any project management duties as may be required and as directed by the Programme Director. Key Skills & Experience - Ability to work hard, show tenacity, proactively work on own initiative, solve problems using own judgement, meet tight deadlines and balance priorities to achieve results. - Must hold, or have the ability to achieve DV Security Clearance - Project management experience with UK MOD and other UK government departments. - Experience with UK MOD maritime electrical installation projects. - Technical experience in electrical/electronic, IT networking equipment and satellite communication. - Experience in writing EGPs, IGPs and Modification Leaflets to a high standard. - Excellent communication skills. - Must be extremely customer-focused with a proactive and flexible approach to work. - Good numeracy and literacy skills. - Experienced in standard office applications. - The ability to produce a high standard of work which meets or exceeds customer’s requirements. - Fflexibility with regard to travel and requirements of the role.
