Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Business Outsourcing Services team in Southampton. The primary responsibility of the Technology Manager is to assist with the operations of our BOS Technology team and develop our client-facing proposition.
The technology team focuses on delivering internal projects to maximize efficiency and provide staff with the tools to deliver excellent outcomes for clients, including projects like migrating to new accounts production software.
Your role will involve overseeing and successfully delivering these digital transformation projects, as well as developing and marketing our client proposition, especially in cloud advisory, app stacks, and migrating clients to top platforms. You will also manage a diverse client portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the scoping, procurement, and rollout of technologies for internal use, ensuring successful project delivery across national teams.
* Managing a diverse client portfolio.
* Identifying and developing opportunities with current clients and preparing proposals for new work.
* Attending marketing events and presenting at seminars as needed.
* Ensuring clients receive proactive, efficient service and managing client expectations.
* Working within budgets, understanding the commercial impacts on client work, and planning resource allocation.
* Staying updated on compliance developments and their impact on clients.
* Organizing staff on projects, clarifying expectations, providing training, and giving feedback to optimize workload distribution.
Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) or equivalent.
* Significant experience in cloud technology or business change projects within professional services.
* Knowledge of various cloud accounting applications and their appropriate use cases.
* Experience in business development activities, including proposals and networking.
* Experience working with entrepreneurial, SME, and high-growth clients.
* Monitoring costs against budgets for individual clients.
