You will be responsible for the coordination of the Council’s Private Sector Housing Grant, Factoring and Missing Share Services. You will manage and direct the workload of a small team of Grant and Factoring Officers.
You will also assist in the management and delivery of Private Sector Disabled Adaptation Services and work closely with Health & Social Care and Care & Repair Renfrewshire.
To undertake this role successfully you will demonstrate experience of private sector housing and factoring services within a Local Authority context, knowledge of housing issues affecting owners in mixed tenure blocks and of the Council’s role as landlord.
You must have experience communicating and liaising with internal and external organisations, be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative and have effective communication skills orally and in writing.
A current full driving licence and use of a car is desirable, as is the ability to attend meetings out with normal office hours when required.
Training in a variety of computer software packages including Microsoft Access and Excel, knowledge of current housing legislation and housing grants and HNC level in Housing or similar is also desirable but not essential.
