The role
As a Project Controls Analyst you will join our Project Services team to provide insights on project and programme performance.
You will
- Work as part of our Project Services team, in this role you will be key to providing insights to project, programme and portfolio performance.
- Escalate performance variances through the agreed processes which will be key to managing performance.
- Work closely with Project Directors, Project Managers and a wide range of stakeholders to support tracking and reporting of portfolio progress, performance against financial controls, key risks and opportunities for meeting our ambitious targets.
- Have an understanding of project control processes, and experience of working in utility or major project organisations will play a crucial role in driving and increasing our success, and in doing so, achieve business targets.
You have
- Previous experience of working in a project services or project management office (PMO) team in a utility company or project delivery organisation.
- A good understanding of the key project controls (cost, schedule and risk) using these to shape the insight and management information required to enable a wide range of stakeholders to understand business performance.
- Previous experience working with complex datasets and creating reports in Power BI is essential to the role.
- A qualification in Lean Six Sigma or experience in process improvement would be advantageous to support our goal of continuous improvement.
- You should be able to communicate, influence and manage the expectations of a range of internal stakeholders - making sure information is presented accurately and effectively understood by the audience.
- Effective written and spoken communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a flexible approach that lends itself to collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.
