Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant Location: North West England, Merseyside, Liverpool Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Secondary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour Job Duties: - Assist in the delivery of maths lessons under the guidance of the class teacher - Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional help with maths - Help create engaging and interactive learning materials to support the curriculum - Assist in assessing students' progress and provide feedback to the class teacher - Support the teacher in classroom management and behaviour monitoring Required Qualifications: - GCSE qualifications in Maths and English - Relevant teaching assistant certification or equivalent experience Education: - Minimum of GCSE qualifications in Maths and English Experience: - Previous experience working in a classroom setting is desirable Knowledge and Skills: - Strong understanding of the primary school maths curriculum - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a team - Patience and empathy when working with students Preferred Qualifications: - Additional qualifications in education or child development Working Conditions: - Work in a classroom setting under the direction of the class teacher - Full-time hours with occasional requirement for additional support outside of regular hours - May involve some physical activity such as assisting with classroom setup and student supervision All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
