Manpower is recruiting a Maintenance Manager with our client who are a successful manufacturer to the agri and construction sectors
This role may require some hands on work while overseeing and managing the maintenance team. We are looking for candidates with a strong maintenance background in manufacturing settings with experience supervising or managing a team
Monday to Friday days 8am - 5pm with some flexibility needed for overtime outside hours and Saturdays
Job Role:
1. Health & Safety Leadership: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety standards and that risk assessments and method statements are prepared before work begins.
2. Operational Efficiency: Plan, coordinate, and optimise maintenance schedules, addressing urgent requests and minimising downtime to maintain smooth factory operations.
3. Technical Expertise: Utilise strong fault diagnosis skills to resolve machinery breakdowns and prevent operational disruptions, ensuring high performance at all times.
4. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, develop, and inspire the maintenance team, focusing on achieving department KPIs and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
5. Cost & Resource Management: Effectively manage maintenance costs and resources, maintaining the maintenance store and ensuring rapid repair capabilities with sufficient spare parts.
What we are looking for:
6. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Maintenance Management/ Supervision
7. Excellent technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems within manufacturing
8. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
9. Strong knowledge of Health and Safety processes
10. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
11. Flexible to work overtime outside core hours
12. Familiar with lean manufacturing
