ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Approach - Maintain an enthusiastic, engaged, and passionate approach to food and great service, with the ability to cope under pressure. Set a professional example to all staff, emphasising quality and efficiency and maintain a good working atmosphere within the café. Floor – Day to day running of the café and managing the floor. Training – Training all staff to the highest standard, particularly in: Customer Service Standards Full understanding and knowledge of menu. Full understanding of allergens Health & safety. Teamwork and communication – Emphasise the importance of teamwork and encourage initiative amongst the Front of House staff and kitchen team. Communicate well with your team by using prep lists & order sheets to hand over any information for the following day. Sales – Drive the team and increase upselling, working towards financial objectives, initiating actions and implementing strategies to increase average spend, table turnover and number of covers. Health & Safety – Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures in compliance with health and safety legal regulations. Cogs & Suppliers management – Ensuring that stock is replenished and maintained whilst achieving set GP margins. Sort out any issues with Suppliers and take action accordingly using Apicbase and Tenzo. ADMIN Creating and Organising FOH rotas. Regular team meetings Timesheets approvals. FOH recruitment – interview the candidate, oversee the trail shift and provide necessary feedback to HR manager. Staff budget – Keep within the targets. Be informed about online reviews (Google Reviews, Trip Advisor) and act accordingly when necessary with both positive and negative feedback. ROLE REQUIREMENTs Experience in a similar role Great spoken and written English Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to build rapport with employees, management and customers.
