Are you a dynamic and experienced General Manager with a passion for hospitality?
Joule’s Brewery are looking for a General Manager to run our flagship Taphouse in Crown Wharf, Stone. We’re looking for someone with a personal flair and creativity to drive the continued development of events, trade builders and menu development.
Joule’s Brewery is an independent Shropshire Brewer steeped in over 200 years of History. We proudly own the 6th oldest beer trademark in the world, The Red Cross.
Our Brewery aspires to craft the quintessential moment of contemplation, savoured over a sparkling pint of beer within the quintessence of British culture itself—the pub. Put together; we think there is nothing better.
About Crown Wharf
Crown Wharf is our flagship Taphouse, standing proudly in the shadow of the original Joule’s Brewery in Stone. This unique venue embodies the best of what Joule’s stands for—community, creativity, and quality. Food is an essential part of the Crown Wharf experience, offering a carefully selected menu that showcases hearty pub classics alongside seasonal dishes. The menu is designed to complement our exceptional range of Joule’s beers, ensuring a complete and satisfying dining experience for every guest.
The pub is a hub for the local community and beyond, hosting popular live music nights, quiz evenings, and a variety of events that bring people together. Crown Wharf also features a versatile 80-seater boardroom that caters to private bookings, meetings, and parties, offering the perfect blend of charm and functionality.
Built on the historic site of the original brewery’s Dirties Yard, this canal-side location reflects both our legacy and forward-thinking vision. Opened in 2021, the Crown Wharf is also home to a purpose-built theatre space developed in partnership with the Crown Wharf Theatre Trust. This addition has brought a new dimension to the venue, offering pre-show, interval, and post-show hospitality to theatre goers.
