Job summary
The Senior Sales Engineer at DigiCert will play a crucial role in partnering with the Sales team to drive revenue and ensure customer success through technical closure. This position requires developing a deep technical understanding of DigiCert solutions and architecture, providing product demonstrations, facilitating technical evaluations, and assisting with RFPs/RFIs. The role involves analyzing customer needs, capturing feedback for product enhancements, and working independently or with cross-functional teams. Additional responsibilities include creating product documentation, providing training, and supporting the Enablement Team. Travel to customer sites and industry events will be necessary.
What you will do
1. Partner with the Sales team, taking responsibility for technical closure to drive revenue and customer success
2. Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of DigiCert solutions & architecture
3. Provide demonstrations of DigiCert solutions and services to prospects/customers
4. Facilitate technical evaluations by prospective customers in a Proof of Concept (POC) environment
5. Assist in response to functional and technical elements of RFPs/RFIs
6. Analyze customer needs to determine potential fit for DigiCert solutions and services to meet customer objectives
7. Capture feature request/enhancement input from prospects/customers to provide feedback to Product Management
8. Work independently and in conjunction with other members of the sales team and cross-functional teams
9. Travel as necessary to customer sites and industry forums/conferences to support the objectives of the department
10. Assist with the creation of product and/or technical documentation for internal use as needed
11. Provide product training to internal stakeholders or Partners as needed
12. Support Enablement Team with training course/lab development as needed
What you will have
1. Professional working proficiency in Dutch and English (essential)
2. Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in Systems Management, Computer Science or Cybersecurity)
3. 8+ years’ work experience in a presales/technical sales or consulting in cybersecurity or PKI
4. Industry Recognized Networking or Information Security related certification (CISSP, CISM, Security+, Network+ etc)
5. Hands-on experience with common IT systems found in enterprise environments (Windows, Linux, Mac, AD/AAD/LDAP, routers, load balancers, SSL inspection devices, web servers, VPNs, etc.)
6. Experience working with Cloud technologies and providers (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc)
7. Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
8. Strong technical writing skills
9. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
10. Firm understanding of cryptographic concepts in IT environments: symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, hash algorithms, digital signatures, HSMs, etc
11. Familiarity with Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) and related components
12. Understanding of PKI including CA deployments, template/profile creation, and certificate lifecycle management
13. Large enterprise IT consulting, administration, or support experience
14. Experience working with APIs
15. Familiarity with code signing and/or document signing workflows
16. Experience working with containerization architecture, platforms and infrastructure (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Cert-Manager, etc.)
