Job Purpose:
The Instrument Technician is responsible for the maintenance, calibration, installation, and troubleshooting of a wide range of instrumentation and control systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that all instrumentation and control equipment operates at optimal performance, contributing to the efficiency and safety of engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and testing of instruments and control systems.
2. Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of new instrumentation and control systems.
3. Ensure that all systems are properly integrated into the operational environment and perform as expected.
4. Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
5. Troubleshoot a variety of instrumentation systems, including pressure, temperature, flow, level, and analytical devices.
6. Work with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues related to instrumentation.
7. Maintain accurate logs and records of instrumentation and control system issues, repairs, and calibration activities.
