Hours per week: 37.5 Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be self-driven to lead on the development of patient care and new innovations, across the Acute and Integrated Community Care Directorate. The Clinical Matron will provide visible, accessible leadership to services, wards, and departments within their given area of responsibility, developing nursing services in conjunction with the Clinical leads, Deputy Head of Nursing and in line with the strategic direction of the Trust. The Clinical Matron will lead and support these areas ensuring all national and local quality standards are met. To ensure a consistent and co-ordinated approach to the operational management and service provision throughout the area of responsibility. To develop and maintain close links with all appropriate stakeholders regarding implementation of agreed care pathways, achievement of CQUINs across both primary and secondary care. To monitor financial performance against all delegated services, influence, and support budget holders in the effective management of those budgets. To work jointly with the Clinical Leads and Service Line / Operational Managers in ensuring that developments and service improvements are centred on the needs of the patient, responsive to clinical needs and appropriate to the provision of a cost effective, safe, high-quality service.
