A role as a Maintenance Technician in a multi-skilled maintenance team, responsible for planned and reactive maintenance covering 24 hours a day / 365 days a year, working a 5-week shift pattern of 12-hour days and nights.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical
* Fault finding skills on ATRS / CT X-ray, automated PLC / SCADA controlled systems.
Communication
* Good communication skills with customers.
* Record keeping, spares usage, and shift reports via PPM management system.
* Hand over any outstanding issues to the oncoming shift.
Team Working
* Working as part of a team with 2 maintenance technicians per 12-hour shift.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
* Multi-skilled technician with Electronic, Electrical/Mechanical experience.
* Fault finding on control panels, network, and field bus systems.
* Fault finding on conveyor systems.
* Planned maintenance on Electrical/Mechanical systems.
* Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
* Good communication skills.
* PC literate with the ability to structure and write reports.
* Fault finding on PLC / SCADA systems.
* Potential to cover on-call support.
* CT X-ray experience.
* ATRS experience.
Experience
* Proven experience of reactive and planned maintenance.
* Checkable 5-year work history.
* Wide-ranging technical background.
Previous experience in all or some of the following areas:
* Automation.
* Mechanical/material handling.
* Conveyor systems.
* ATRS.
* CT X-ray.
* Control systems.
* Electrical power systems.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds / HNC / HND, Electronic / Electrical / Mechanical or Equivalent.
