What we need in a nutshell
We need someone who will keep our fantastic holiday park and accommodation in tip-top condition and looking spectacular. You will also be responsible for organising the siting and connections of our holiday homes for new and existing Holiday Home Owners and ensuring our accommodation is maintained. You will be leading a team who head up each department under your responsibility.
As a Maintenance/Grounds Manager, you will lead and manage the team that keeps our park looking fabulous and running smoothly, covering everything from landscaping, slab laying, bins being emptied, and litter picking. We need someone who cares about the environment and who is a great leader with attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing
As part of our team of holiday heroes, you will manage the Maintenance team to ensure everything is in good working order. Your work will include:
* Monitoring that the landscaping is to our high standards
* Ensuring that the moving and siting of caravans, including external plumbing, are planned and completed
* Allocating maintenance jobs for our accommodation; everything from replacing light bulbs to troubleshooting faulty locks and cutting keys
* Carrying out maintenance checks and repairs on changeover days, working with other tradespeople when necessary
* Managing water and sewerage infrastructure
* Genuine drive to see the jobs through to completion
* Leading, managing, and motivating a team of park assistants to present the park at its best
* Maintaining high standards of all garden areas and flower beds to create a great first impression
* Conducting daily checks to ensure all areas of the park are pristine and litter-free
* Managing your budget by getting value for money from outside contractors, managing staff levels effectively, and ensuring tools and equipment are looked after and securely stored
* Training your team on equipment usage and park procedures
* Ensuring Health and Safety policies are in place and adhered to by the team
Guests and team members will look to you to fix what’s broken and restore order, so you will need to be confident, friendly, and obliging in addition to your practical skills.
You will have a team under your responsibility to help ensure all the above are achieved.
One more thing… holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and some weekends too. We do, however, pay overtime on occasions where this is required.
Skills, experience, and qualities you’ll need
We will train you, but you’ll need to have the following skills and experience to apply for this role:
* Experience of managing a team of trades and workers
* Experience in maintenance, light construction, and facilities management
* An understanding of Health & Safety at work
* A good standard of education, ideally to GCSE standard or equivalent
* A driving licence is essential
