Role overview Reporting into our Technical Home Claims Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers, processing new claims and managing existing claims. You'll be responsible for adopting a case management plan for each customer within your own portfolio, identifying recoveries, and highlighting claims to our insight area to prevent fraud. We're also looking for you to act as a referral point when needed, providing coaching, mentoring and training to others, alongside our Technical Specialists. Job details - you'll need to have demonstrable experience in: Managing a portfolio of complex claims, achieving the optimum financial outcome in line with our financial goals Providing each customer with their own case plan, managing any suppliers or processes to achieve the final outcome Working with the wider team to maintain best practice documents on technical applications for buildings, contents, recoveries and subsidence Ensuring claims are adequately reserved, loss coded and managed effectively to enable accurate pricing and reserving Achieving both financial and customer satisfaction outcomes that places Hastings as a market leading home claims handling function Handling, resolving and helping to prevent complaints, including FOS referrals, ensuring that any changes are fed back to the relevant parties as best practice and acting as a technical referral point for lower level complaints when supporting handlers Essential skills we would love you to have: Strong working knowledge of Home Claims and experience of working with Large Loss Claims A comprehensive understanding of the Principles of Insurance and knowledge of ICOBS and TCF and supplier management experience Complies with consumer duty when dealing with/advising customers and can relay technical context and rationale to any given situation (i.e. subsidence, escape of oil/water, liability and recoveries) The interview process Our interview process involves the below: Recruiter screening call 1st stage interview with hiring leader 2nd interview with hiring leaders leader As a Disability Confident employer, we're committed to ensuring our recruitment processes are fully inclusive - what this means to you is if you're applying for a job with us, you'll have fair access to support and adjustments throughout your recruitment journey.
