Main duties of the job Child Development Practitioner Band 4 - £26,530 - £29114 Hours - 2 posts available part time/ full time Permanent We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Child Development Practitioners to join our 0-19 Service. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care, assessments, and interventions tailored to individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide developmental assessments and interventions for children aged 0-8. Support families with tailored advice and guidance on child development. Collaborate with health visitors, school nurses, and other professionals to ensure holistic care. Facilitate group sessions and one-to-one support for children and parents. Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns following local policies and procedures. Essential Criteria: Relevant qualification in Child Development, Early Years, Health, or Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 3, degree in relevant field). Experience working with children, young people, and families in a developmental or health-related setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle may be required. Desirable Criteria: Experience in multi-agency working. Additional training in child health, development, or family support. Understanding of the Healthy Child Programme.
