As a Residential Care Support Worker, you’ll provide essential care and guidance to children who have experienced trauma. You’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can develop life skills, build confidence, and move towards a brighter future. What You’ll Be Doing Support children in their daily routines, providing emotional and practical care. Help develop and implement care plans and risk assessments, celebrating progress. Foster trusting relationships with children, their families (where appropriate), and external agencies. Promote education, social development, and life skills, assisting with Individual Care Plans and Education Plans. Maintain high standards of safeguarding, professionalism, and record-keeping in line with Ofsted regulations. Ensure the home is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, encouraging young people to participate in household tasks. Contribute to a positive, stable, and structured environment, helping young people reach their full potential. Sleep-in duties are required as part of the shift pattern. What We’re Looking For A genuine passion for supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs. Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or willingness to complete). Full UK driving licence. A full UK driver’s license. Flexible with working 2-on-4-off shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.
