About the Role:
Based at our Support Office in Morningside, Auckland we're on the lookout for a fixed-term Learning and Development Specialist with a flair for training and a knack for thriving in the fast-paced world of retail. This is an eight month fixed-term contract, covering parental leave.
You'll support our Briscoes and Rebel Sport stores, our Distribution Centre, and our Support Office functions by playing a pivotal role in creating and reviewing our training content, assessing learning objectives, and developing supporting documentation to guide our teams through change.

The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for:
1. Designing interactive learning experiences and developing captivating materials specifically for our learning platform Axonify
2. Ensuring a robust process and cadence of reviewing all learning material is undertaken
3. Ensuring implementation is supported so that projects are delivered to the business in the appropriate manner
4. Working with stakeholders to identify training needs across the organisation
5. Assisting the Capability and Change Manager with implementing and embedding change initiatives across the business
6. Providing assistance to the wider team on project work
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role you will need:
* A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience in HR/OD
* A minimum of three year's experience within a learning and development role
* Well-developed investigative and analytical skills
* Demonstrated coaching and influencing skills
* Superior written and verbal communication skills
* A high level of proactivity and initiative, adaptability and resilience
* Well-developed organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively
* An understanding of the importance of workplace Health and Safety
