Job summary We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our team at Worcester Royal Hospital. We are looking for an experienced echocardiographer to join our expanding, friendly team. The role will include performing and reporting adult TTEs in a mixture of in-patient and out-patient settings including supporting the complex echo service with the DSE and TOE lists dependant on experience. Duties will also include supporting head of department and service leads with developing services, supporting trainees, quality control and audits. Main duties of the job Perform unsupervised Cardiac Ultrasound examinations to diagnose Cardiac abnormalities.To work alongside Consultant Cardiologists performing TOEs Stress echos and LVOs.To provide clinical interpretation and high technical expertise on Cardiac Ultrasound scans performed by self and junior members of staff, in accordance with the British Society of Echocardiography standards, guidelines and departmental protocols and policies. Opportunities to work in the invasive Cardiac Catheter Laboratory service, perform/ lead role and provide technical support in Technician Led Cardiac Exercise Tolerance tests (ETT), prepare 24-hour ambulatory ECG recorders, analyse and report the results of the procedure, in accordance with National and Departmental protocols and procedures.
