Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market-leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long-term career progression. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Lighting Electrician to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. We are looking for a Lighting Electrician who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
As the Lighting Electrician, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services. The Lighting Electrician will be responsible for:
1. Undertaking LED Lighting and electrical installations.
2. Working closely with the Lighting Project team, sub-contractors, and Project Manager to meet completion targets set for a particular project.
3. Ability to work nights and stay away from home as the majority of work will be carried out outside of normal working hours.
4. Working to electrical drawings e.g., installation, circuit diagrams, and line schematics.
5. Producing a quality end product first time with no re-work required.
6. Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
To be successful for this Lighting Electrician role you must have:
1. Fully qualified 18th Edition IEE regulations.
2. 2383-18 18th Edition Update.
3. 2391-52 Test and Inspection desirable, not essential – full training will be given.
4. SSSTS Accreditation – desirable, not essential – full training will be given.
5. Knowledge of EV charging units – desirable, not essential – full training will be given.
6. IPAF – Desirable and full training will be given.
7. PASMA – Desirable and full training will be given.
8. Must be able to work nights and stay away from home as the majority of work will be carried out outside of normal working hours Mon-Fri.
9. Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres and lift weights of up to 25kg.
10. Ability to effectively prioritise own workload.
11. Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
12. Full UK driving licence.
