We’re looking for an Area Account Manager to maintain an existing area, supporting our customers with their everyday packaging solutions and needs. You’ll work as part of a team to help maximise the full potential of all accounts, support business development initiatives to provide the same levels of quality service and commitment UK Packaging has been known for since 1984.
This is maternity cover for a minimum of a year, but there is also an opportunity for the right candidate to take on an external role at UK Packaging on a permanent basis.

The Role:
Reporting to the Sales Manager (South), managing existing accounts, working to company sales targets. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar sales role and understand the challenges and exciting opportunities that come with a position like this. Packaging experience is desirable, but not essential.
1. Manage area with your Internal Sales Co Ordinator
2. Be in regular contact with the Office
3. Ensure high standards of administration
4. Generally, assist in the smooth running of the area and Company
5. Maintain and develop existing accounts
6. Prospect for New Business & follow up all sales leads
7. Generate useful enquiries and ensure all quotations are followed up
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
2. Basic IT capabilities, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Self-motivated, punctual and comfortable with taking initiative.
5. Able to work to deadlines and manage urgent matters quickly and confidently.
