Purchasing & Supply Chain Co-ordinator required for employment in a Global based manufacturing company in Kenfig Industrial Estate near Port Talbot
Salary £35,000 - £37,000 depending on experience.
Own transport is required as site is not near any major transport links.
Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week
Must have the right to work in the uk.
Qualifications
Qualifications/skills (education, experience and skills):
1. Preferable experience within a high volume manufacturing sector
2. Preferable experience of working with planning within ERP systems
3. Preferable experience of purchasing
4. Proactive, self-starter who is comfortable working on own initiative. To succeed, you must be numerate, computer literate and have an attention to detail. The ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines is essential.
5. Enthusiastic and professional individual who enjoys being part of a successful team with the ability to build and develop excellent internal and external relationships.
6. Strong team working ethic, comfortable working alongside colleagues in supporting functions. Ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

Responsibilities
Summary (job purpose and main contribution to business):
To perform purchasing and planning functions, ensure all tasks are achieved to required standards and maintain a professional and reliable service in the supplier facing role and to internal stakeholders
Essential Functions (main responsibilities):
8. Creating purchase orders based on planning requirements and Engineering spares requirements
9. Act as single point of contact for suppliers to ensure on time deliveries, maintain supplier relationships and monitor / communicate price changes
10. Maintain supplier price lists in the ERP system
11. Appraise new potential suppliers, cost price analysis to identify potential savings
12. Liaise with Sales team, Warehouse and Production for planning purposes
13. Liaise with Quality and Finance departments for Suppliers and Item Master set up and additions into quality controlled systems
14. Inventory planning in ERP system based on customer forecasts (Raw materials, Manufactured goods and Purchased goods)
15. Schedule production orders to ensure internal schedules, customer requirements and optimum inventory holdings are met.
16. Regular review of stocks min/max and EOQ’s for purchasing and production planning
17. Reporting – Produce inventory and purchasing KPI’s and performance metrics
18. Liaison to Divisional Purchasing leads to implement purchasing projects at site level
19. Coordinate weekly planning meetings and issue weekly plan to Production and Engineering departments
20. Attend morning meeting and update teams on planning / production requirements
21. Resolve issues in supply chain when occurring
22. Maintain professionalism as supplier facing department, ensure utmost accuracy and quality of work produced
23. To comply with reasonable requests from management
24. Other ad hoc duties as allocated
