The Role

Duties Include:
* Operational Excellence: Execute tasks in line with risk assessments and company procedures, ensuring high standards of hygiene and quality.
* Leadership and Collaboration: Work closely with other department managers to steer the business towards future success, providing leadership and strategic direction.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize manufacturing efficiency within budget constraints, while upholding safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
* Team Management: Guide and manage your team to align individual objectives with our manufacturing goals and standards.
* Financial Oversight: Implement financial controls and operational KPIs to consistently meet or exceed financial performance targets.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement using GMP principles and methodologies to enhance business performance.
* Project Management: Lead projects to manage costs and eliminate gaps in our manufacturing strategy.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, and that all staff are fully trained.
* Representation and Relationships: Represent the operational function both internally and externally, and manage relationships with other management team members.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Expertise: Deep understanding of line equipment and throughput requirements.
* Proactive Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues and take timely, appropriate actions.
* Communication Skills: Strong numerate and articulate communicator.
* Leadership Qualities: Natural self-starter who can engage and motivate others.
* Holistic Perspective: Comprehensive view of day-to-day operational requirements across the line, area, and business.
* Ownership and Learning: Commitment to personal ownership of line achievement and continuous learning from experiences.
