Senior Electrical Engineer – Zero-Carbon Industrial Heat
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge projects in zero-carbon industrial heat? We are working with a mission-driven company at the forefront of innovation in sustainable industrial solutions. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their established Engineering team.
About the Role:
This role focuses on designing and overseeing medium voltage (1MW to 20MW) systems, specifying MV equipment such as transformers and switchgear, and supporting installations, testing, and commissioning. You will also provide customer-facing technical expertise and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of large-scale projects that integrate with existing industrial site infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and oversee medium voltage electrical systems, from 1MW to 20MW.
2. Specify and manage MV equipment, including transformers and switchgear.
3. Support installations, testing, and commissioning processes.
4. Work with existing industrial site infrastructure to ensure seamless integration of sustainable heat solutions.
5. Provide customer-facing technical expertise and contribute to project delivery.
What We're Looking For:
1. Proven experience in medium voltage (MV) electrical engineering.
2. Expertise in switchgear, distribution transformers, and UK/international electrical standards.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to integrate new systems into existing infrastructure.
What's On Offer:
1. Permanent Option: £75,000 - £90,000 per annum, based on experience.
2. Contract Option: £600-£700 per day for an interim period.
3. Hybrid working: Minimum of 2 days per week on-site in Fareham, with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week.
