SEN Science Teacher Salary Range: Depending on experience Location: Maidstone Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join an Alternative provision in Maidstone.This role is ideal for a secondary science teacher with a passion for supporting vulnerable young people, whether transitioning from a mainstream environment or already experienced in PRU/SEMH/SEN settings. Day to day of the role: Deliver engaging science lessons to secondary students within a PRU/SEMH/Alternative Provision setting. Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and create an inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic support to students. Develop and implement individual education plans for students with special educational needs. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and interventions as necessary. Maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom atmosphere. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential. Experience as a secondary science teacher. Ideally, experience in a PRU/SEMH/SEN environment. Ability to remain calm and compassionate while setting firm boundaries.
