The Role:
We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join our customers growing technology squads. You will be playing a pivotal role in the future of how tech is used throughout all areas of the organisation. The digital transformation happening across the company is changing the business, pushing their internal and external products and systems right to the forefront of the industry, using the power of modern engineering through high performing agile tech teams. As a Senior Engineer you will be an essential part of the squad, serving as a trusted advisor to the Tech Leads and mentor to junior engineers.
The Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of significant work streams and ensure their successful delivery.
* Foster enthusiasm and maintain a high-energy environment within the team.
* Collaborate closely with colleagues, guiding technical decisions.
* Work remotely, with occasional office visits to our central Sheffield location (minimum two - four days per month).
The Tech:
* Proficiency in C# .NET with Entity Framework.
* Experience building web front-ends with React, Vue, or Angular.
* Expertise in developing solutions in public clouds, particularly AWS (ECS Fargate, Lambda, and RDS MySQL).
* Familiarity with agile and DevOps practices, embracing change as part of the value delivery process.
* Comfortable with pair programming and active participation in meetings.
* Passion for sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members.
* Dedication to simplicity in architecture and coding practices.
