Production & Scheduling Coordinator Location: Witney Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Reporting to: Senior Management About the Role: On behalf of our client, a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturer, we are looking to appoint an experienced Production & Scheduling Coordinator to support their growing operations team. This is a key role, focused on ensuring production schedules are met, resources are effectively allocated, and communication between departments remains clear and consistent. Main Responsibilities: Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed production schedules in line with customer requirements and company objectives. Work closely with departments including Sales, Procurement, Design, and Manufacturing to ensure smooth execution. Interdepartmental Liaison: Maintain clear and proactive communication across teams to synchronise planning efforts, resolve scheduling issues, and provide status updates. Order Review & Delivery Commitments: Assess incoming sales orders and confirm feasible delivery dates. Support in tracking project and product contracts, and assist with cost estimation. Repairs Scheduling: Approve and plan customer repair work, ensuring capacity and turnaround times are well managed. Issue Resolution: Identify potential delays or bottlenecks in production and implement corrective actions to maintain workflow efficiency. Reporting: Compile and analyse reports on production performance, providing insights to help drive improvements. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to initiatives aimed at streamlining operations, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality. What We’re Looking For: Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent hands-on industry experience. Experience: 2–3 years’ experience in a similar production planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with planning systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP software is highly advantageous. Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data, forecast accurately, and make informed decisions to support production efficiency. Process Knowledge: Familiar with manufacturing processes and lean/continuous improvement methodologies. Communication: Clear and confident communicator, capable of building strong working relationships across multiple departments. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and organisation when managing schedules and monitoring output.
