Are you a Design Manager looking to broaden your horizons and join a contractor who work on unique and interesting civil engineering projects?

A well respected civil engineering contractor have a vacancy for a Design Manager to be based out of their office in the North West. They are a civil engineering contractor who are proven within the industry, with a number of project across the board stretching across the country, they are seeking an individual with a managerial background to look after the design team on a range of different projects.
Your duties and responsibilities:
* Managing designs at the preconstruction and construction stage of projects.
* Producing and reviewing design programmes and design scopes.
* Attending and presenting at meetings with all stakeholders.
* Ensuring that design and the technical requirements are compliant to the legislation.
* Ensuring sustainability requirements are embedded within the design
* Coordinating the design team.
* Liaising with the wider project team to ensure construction adheres to design.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
* A full UK driving license
* Ability to show experience gained in a similar role (ideally major projects / tier 1 experience)
* Mobility to travel around the country when required (lodge will be covered if needed)
