Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation, Amazon Sidewalk
Amazon Sidewalk is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help the organization deliver high-quality services and features. You will work closely with global teams to plan and coordinate the execution of quality assurance assignments with a strong emphasis on automation. Your obsession with quality improvement across the whole development cycle is key to your success in this position.
Key job responsibilities
1. Champion the quality of Sidewalk features using both automated and manual tests.
2. Design, create, update, and execute test plans with well-defined test cases.
3. Design, enhance, and maintain the test automation framework.
4. Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA to influence the final delivery.
5. Report, track, and verify defects to their resolution to sign off on features and releases.
6. Make a significant impact on process and automation infrastructure to improve the efficiency and efficacy in the quality delivery of Sidewalk services, business, and most importantly to our customers.

Amazon Sidewalk is a shared network that helps devices like Amazon Echo devices, Ring Security Cams, outdoor lights, motion sensors, and trackers work better at home and beyond the front door. When enabled, Sidewalk can unlock unique benefits for your device, support other Sidewalk devices in your community, and even locate lost items.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience.
2. Experience in developing test automation frameworks in Python or Linux shell scripting languages.
3. Knowledge of test methodologies to create, execute, and maintain test cases.
4. Knowledge of troubleshooting skills to perform defect triage and root cause analysis.
5. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience testing embedded devices, cloud services, mobile apps, or SDKs.
2. Experience with network communication protocol testing and automation.
3. Knowledge of computer architecture or consumer electronics fundamentals.
4. Desire to learn and take on challenges.
5. Experience in global collaboration.
