We are looking for an Employment Law or HR expert to join the Content team. You will be researching legislation changes as and when they happen to see what impact they may have for clients/business owners and sharing this with the wider team to keep them up to date and ensure any advice given is legal and compliant. Content creation is helpful in this role as the briefs will be issued to all internal staff, new starter training sessions, as well as clients both existing and prospective so they need to be concise and engaging! Job Purpose
To provide a sound employment law contact point for all Group Content Team stakeholders; to create employment law and HR content for a range of purposes including to assist clients undertake HR processes, for subscription employment law websites, client newsletters and external PR content; to ensure that client focused consultancy documentation constantly reflects the HR challenges of employers in varying sectors; to broaden the sector specific knowledge of all employment law stakeholders; to assist in the training of employment law stakeholders across the Group; to identify themes and trends of HR challenges; to provide a commercial interpretative voice on legal developments briefings to keep a large team of Advisory and Documentation Consultants up to date with legal developments.
Job Overview
The person undertaking this role will assist the Associate Director - HR Content in ensuring that all highly technical employment law content is maintained to an excellent level and is available to team stakeholders. They will enhance the employment law knowledge of Group employees, clients and prospective clients to ensure that clear, concise and accurate data is provided in line with company protocols and up to date legislation. This role sits within the Group Content Team and supports the Publishing, Advisory, Consultancy and Sales/Marketing departments across Group companies in identifying employment law updates to ensure a persistent focus on the quality of service that we provide.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Maintaining and continually developing content on employment law and HR subscription websites by providing written technical and practical guidance on employment law matters.
2. Ensuring the Group's Consultancy offering e.g. template contracts and handbooks etc is kept up to date in respect of legal and other important developments designed to safeguard clients' position.
3. Creating and delivering training sessions where required.
4. Creating precedent documentation for clients to use when undertaking HR processes including letters and forms.
5. Ensuring the Group's perspective is considered in the future shaping of employment law by responding to Government consultations on employment law and HR matters.
6. Creating bespoke employment law presentations.
7. Creating speedy reactive guidance on topical employment law issues as they develop and employment law updates for an advisory audience.
8. Creating speedy reactive director briefings for digest in preparation for TV/radio appearances.
9. Undertaking research projects on areas of employment law to ensure sufficient resources are available to Consultants, focusing on enhancing resources in specific sectors of industry.
10. Ensuring internal tools created for use by advisory departments are continually enhanced.
11. Writing articles and various types of content for employment law websites in addition to internal, industry specific and national publications on employment law matters and case law.
12. Providing speedy comment for external publications on topical employment matters and case law as and when required.
13. Updating the Marketing department with topical news stories, legislative changes and supplying content.
14. Responding to ad hoc employment law queries from all areas of the Group via email and verbal communication.
15. Creating employment law and HR policies for clients and use on websites.
16. Undertaking research under own initiative.
17. Keeping personal employment law knowledge up to date.
18. Assisting in the promotion of awareness of the Group's broader research activities and foster excellent working relationships with all departments and teams.
19. Using all Office packages.
20. Undertaking any task delegated by the Associate Director - HR Content.
21. To attend meetings as required.
22. All other tasks deemed necessary by Management.
