About the Role
:
As the Seasonal & Leisure Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the seasonal, leisure, and outdoor living departments within a dynamic and customer-focused garden centre. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and driving sales within the seasonal and leisure categories, including garden furniture, BBQs, Christmas ranges, and outdoor living products.
2. Leading a team to deliver outstanding customer service and ensuring high visual merchandising standards.
3. Monitoring stock levels, ordering seasonal products, and optimising availability throughout the year.
4. Training and developing staff to maximise performance and product knowledge.
5. Ensuring that the department operates efficiently and profitably.
6. Stepping up to support the Garden Centre Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the centre.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
7. Proven experience in a retail management role, ideally within a garden centre or similar environment.
8. Strong commercial awareness and an ability to drive sales.
9. Leadership experience with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team.
10. Excellent organisational and stock management skills.
11. A hands-on approach and the ability to work flexibly, especially during peak trading periods.
