Job Title: Young Persons Mentor (Sports Requirement)
Location: Llanishen, Cardiff
Salary: £12.90 per hour
Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Young Persons Mentor to join our team in partnership with a local school in Llanishen, Cardiff. This role is vital in supporting young people from diverse backgrounds and positively influencing their attitude towards school. By utilizing sports as a medium during break times and free time, we aim to reinforce team mentality and build trust among students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mentor and guide young people, fostering positive relationships and a healthy attitude toward school and learning.
* Engage students in sports activities to promote teamwork and collaboration.
* Support students during break times and free periods, facilitating sports activities that encourage inclusivity and engagement.
* Actively listen and communicate with students, demonstrating patience and understanding to bridge gaps and build trust.
* Commit to the role, ensuring continuity and consistency for the young people you work with.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
* A genuine interest in helping develop young people within a school environment.
* Experience in coaching or establishing relationships through sports is preferred.
* Strong patience and the ability to manage young people effectively.
* A proactive, can-do attitude and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to building rapport and trust with students for long-term positive impacts.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
